πŸ—“οΈπŸš˜ Date selection

To improve data reliability, we have enhanced the date selection logic.

Updated over a month ago

In the context of reservation management and data tracking within the office, two new fields have been implemented to increase efficiency and accuracy in date handling. Below is a detailed explanation of the functionality and logic applied to these fields:

πŸ†• Introduction of the New Fields

Two new fields have been added to the Parking configuration of each office:

Weeks Back Field

This field specifies the number of weeks the system should look back to retrieve relevant historical data.

πŸ“Œ Example: If the field is set to 4, the system will analyze data from the last 4 weeks.

Start Date Field

This field defines the date from which reservations and other historical data should be calculated.

  • If this field is empty, the system will automatically use the start of the current week as the reference date.

🧠 Algorithm Logic

Resetting the Start Date Field

Once the number of weeks indicated in the "Weeks Back" field has passed, the algorithm will automatically reset the start date field to reflect the new analysis period.
This ensures that the analysis remains aligned with the most recent data.

Configuration Without a Start Date

If only the number of weeks is configured but no start date is specified, the algorithm will:

  1. Take the start of the current week as the reference date.

  2. Save this start date when the algorithm runs.

  3. Use it for retrieving previous reservations.

πŸš€ Benefits of This Implementation

Flexibility

Allows personalized configuration based on the specific needs of each office, adjusting both the analysis period and the reference date.

Dynamic Updating

Ensures that information remains up-to-date by automatically resetting the start date field, reflecting only the most relevant and recent data.
